Role Overview
The Payroll Analyst will oversee comprehensive payroll management for Saudi Arabia and UAE, ensuring punctual, accurate, and compliant payroll operations. This role acts as the central point of contact across HR, Finance, employees, U.S. Payroll teams, and external payroll service providers. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to the deployment of a new integrated payroll platform.
Key Duties
- Manage monthly and off-cycle payroll runs efficiently.
- Gather and verify payroll data such as new hires, terminations, attendance, salary modifications, allowances, deductions, and record updates.
- Execute payroll computations, reconciliations, and validations utilizing Excel-based tools.
- Coordinate processing timelines with outsourced payroll providers according to payroll schedules.
- Review payroll results to identify and correct discrepancies before payroll finalization.
- Serve as a liaison among HR, Finance, employees, U.S. Payroll, and third-party vendors.
- Administer payroll-related benefits, including travel and education allowances, adhering to corporate policies.
- Handle off-cycle transactions like bonuses, commissions, urgent payments, and end-of-service settlements.
- Prepare payroll journals, Wages Protection System (WPS) payment files, reports, and reconciliation documents for various stakeholders.
- Maintain payroll documentation, facilitate audit processes, and recommend improvements to payroll controls and workflows.
- Support the implementation and stabilization of a new payroll system across the Middle East by assisting with requirements gathering, testing, data checks, troubleshooting, and post-launch support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Between one to two years practical payroll experience, especially across Saudi Arabia and/or UAE payroll processes; multilocation GCC payroll exposure preferred.
- Proven capability managing full-cycle payroll including off-cycle processing, end-of-service settlements, and WPS compliance.
- Experience collaborating with external payroll providers within an outsourced payroll framework.
- Exposure to payroll system implementations or migrations considered advantageous.
