Job description
Overview
We are seeking a diligent Payroll Administrator for a 1-year contract to join a respected company known for its dedicated payroll team, accuracy, and commitment to compliance. This role offers a flexible hybrid work model, including remote work with occasional office days across multiple Irish locations such as Campsie, Derry, Burnfoot, or Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll data accurately using Sage Payroll for employees throughout Ireland.
- Manage and update payroll records including new hires, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and deductions.
- Handle various salary components such as overtime, bonuses, allowances, pension schemes, benefits-in-kind, and statutory payments.
- Examine payroll inputs to identify and resolve discrepancies, and prepare detailed management and month-end payroll reports.
- Ensure full compliance with Irish payroll legislation, Revenue directives, and internal company policies.
- Assist with payroll audits and work collaboratively with HR and Finance teams to address employee payroll inquiries.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of experience administering Irish payroll and one year of hands-on experience with Sage Payroll software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements, data validation, reconciliations, and reporting capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of PAYE Modernisation, PRSI, USC, Irish tax rules, and statutory leave payment regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capability, professional demeanor, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a capacity to meet tight deadlines efficiently.
Compensation and Working Conditions
