Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Patient Services Specialist within the Patient Engagement Center. The role is the first point of contact for patients looking for care and support. It combines patient navigation, appointment coordination, application troubleshooting, and general information support to help improve access and engagement across the health system.
What You Will Do
- Help direct patients to the right healthcare facilities, institutes, and clinics.
- Support patients in locating physicians across the health network.
- Arrange patient appointments and classes.
- Deliver first-line technical help for patient-facing health applications.
- Act as a primary information source and intake contact for patients.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective patients.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of customer service experience, with healthcare experience preferred. They should also have at least 2 years of experience supporting customers virtually by phone. A background of 1 year or more in technical support is preferred.
Compensation
Pay varies based on work location. Example hourly ranges include $23.02 to $30.24 in Anchorage, AK, and the Portland, OR area, and $26.92 to $35.37 in Northern California except Humboldt. Other locations follow defined pay bands within similar levels. Final placement in the range depends on experience and other factors. Additional earnings may include shift differentials, on-call or standby pay, overtime, premium pay, extra-shift incentives, and bonuses.
