Sokin is hiring a commercially minded Partnerships Sales Manager for its Sydney or Melbourne team. This role sits within the global partnerships function and is focused on helping the business scale further across international markets. Responsibilities
- Spot and assess partnership opportunities that support Sokin’s wider commercial strategy.
- Lead negotiations and complete partnership agreements that create long-term value.
- Work closely with teams across the business to make sure partnerships are delivered and integrated effectively.
- Manage existing partner relationships and keep them aligned with shared goals and benefits.
- Improve partner engagement and satisfaction, including driving partner activation and referrals.
- Serve as the main contact for partners, resolving issues and identifying areas for improvement.
- Bring relevant sector experience and networks across fintech, B2B credit, payroll, ecommerce growth agencies, and/or systems integrators.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive business development experience in remittance, ecommerce, or financial services, with a strong record of meeting business targets.
- Proven ability to build, grow, and manage strategic partnerships.
- Solid understanding of remittance and ecommerce market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and sector trends.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to think strategically, review market data, and make decisions based on evidence.
- Background in a fintech or startup setting within payments, remittance, or ecommerce is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Genuine interest in the remittance and ecommerce space, including emerging technologies and digital innovation.
- Demonstrated success in finding new business opportunities that contribute to revenue growth.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence on the phone and by email.
- Self-starting, proactive, and target-oriented approach with a strong drive to deliver results.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the country where they are applying.
