Job description

Role Overview

This part-time contract position sits within the People & Culture team and is responsible for managing the full recruitment process for long-term freelance roles across the agency’s core tracks in North America.

About the Company

The employer is a social-first creative agency known for building culturally relevant campaigns and generating ideas that spark conversation for major brands. The organization operates as part of a wider network of entrepreneurial creative agencies.

What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out

  • A lively, fast-moving culture with a collaborative and fun atmosphere.
  • Access to a passport-style program that supports working from 18 international offices, including Paris, Singapore, Madrid, Dubai, and London.
  • A team that celebrates both successes and setbacks as part of continuous learning.
  • A strong focus on social impact, including initiatives such as carbon offsets and community kitchens.

About the Right Candidate

The ideal person is proactive, comfortable in a high-pressure environment, and able to move quickly without losing attention to detail. They should enjoy shaping what is next rather than simply reacting to trends, and be confident taking ownership from idea stage through delivery.

Prior agency background is not mandatory, though it would be an advantage. What matters most is a strong understanding of what works in a social-led agency environment and the ability to operate in an energetic, forward-thinking setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a strong understanding of the agency’s business needs, the work being delivered, and the calibre of talent required.
  • Manage the freelance recruitment process end to end, including briefing stakeholders, sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing, and handling final rate discussions.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing talent pipelines and rosters for freelance needs across Account Management, Strategy, Production, Creative & Design, and Influencer disciplines.
  • Keep resourcing tracker documents accurate and current so the wider team has clear visibility at all times.
  • Prepare and pass along negotiated rates, availability, and onboarding details to internal operations contacts so onboarding can begin through a third-party employer-of-record service.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
  • Background in contract or freelance recruitment, ideally in a high-volume agency, digital, social, or creative environment.
  • A well-developed contractor network, especially across creative agency functions such as Account Management, Creative, Production, Strategy, and Influencer roles.
  • Experience in both the US and Canadian markets is preferred.
  • Comfort using applicant tracking systems such as Workable, along with shared spreadsheet-based trackers.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and candidate negotiation skills.
  • Recruitment experience within advertising agencies is a strong asset.

Employment Terms

This is a part-time contract role estimated at approximately 20 hours per week for a six-month period.

The hourly pay range is $60 to $70.

Inclusion Statement

The organization welcomes applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, including people whose perspectives are not always represented in advertising. It is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, colour, ability, national origin, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation. The workplace is described as inclusive and accessible, and candidates who require accommodations during the interview process are encouraged to request them.
