Role Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Mental Health Provider to join the TalkNow team, a 24/7 telehealth service dedicated to serving higher education students and campus community members like faculty and staff. Providers with master’s degrees in professional counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, and experience in crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk assessment, and safety planning are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment & Scheduling

This is a fully remote role requiring a HIPAA-compliant workspace, reliable internet meeting speed standards, and completion of required credentialing, onboarding, and training. Shift options include:

• Saturday through Monday, midnight to 6:00 a.m. (18 hours over 3 shifts)
• Thursday through Saturday, midnight to 6:00 a.m. (18 hours over 3 shifts)
• Any day, 6:00 p.m. to midnight or 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (20 hours over 4-5 shifts)

Holiday shifts are obligatory with an additional $250 spot bonus for working on holidays.

Requirements for Contracted Services

• Completion of a master’s degree (M.A./M.S.) in Psychology, Professional Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy with provisional or associate licensure is mandatory;
• Applicants holding full clinical licensure are preferred;
• Must have strong clinical documentation, assessment, and active listening skills;
• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques;
• Background providing therapeutic services to youth, adolescents, at-risk groups, or experience within community mental health, crisis support, or college counseling environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely care, with sessions averaging 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for documentation, capped at 30 minutes per client;
• Provide remote therapy supporting work/life balance;
• Manage sessions without billing or insurance complications as TimelyCare partners directly with institutions;
• Maintain professional autonomy with flexible scheduling options;
• Work with motivated students and campus members eager for behavioral health services;
• Ensure client confidentiality by preventing access to personal contact info.

Expectations

• Employ active listening and evidence-based therapeutic modalities to foster rapport and client progress;
• Maintain professionalism with all clients, colleagues, and support personnel;
• Stay calm and adaptable to the dynamic needs of clients served;
• Conduct thorough assessments, triage, and documentation especially for clients experiencing crisis or suicidal ideation;
• Respond empathetically, professionally, and with cultural sensitivity to clients in distress.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary ranges: $27,000 to $31,000 for associate/provisional licensed providers; $30,000 to $34,000 for fully licensed providers, influenced by selected shifts (18 or 20 hours/week);
• An additional annual $2,500 overnight shift differential for late-night shifts (approximately $96.15 per paycheck);
