Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Nurse to deliver comprehensive and age-appropriate nursing care in our emergency department. The role encompasses assessing, planning, and evaluating patient conditions to provide effective treatment and support.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care that meets clinical and patient safety standards in the emergency setting.
- Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and responses according to institutional protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and symptoms, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Follow physician instructions carefully while executing clinical procedures.
- Collect laboratory samples efficiently and safely.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control guidelines and safety regulations.
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers effectively.
- Prepare and assemble medical equipment as needed and assist healthcare providers during various procedures.
- Comply with legal, institutional, and professional standards governing nursing practice.
- Participate actively in quality improvement assessments and attend relevant staff meetings.
- Complete all assigned responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in the emergency room or in a related clinical setting.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) mandatory.
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong clinical knowledge, precise documentation skills, and effective communication abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following safety protocols.
