Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated nurse specialized in high-risk labor and delivery to provide direct patient care within the boundaries of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. The role demands the use of therapeutic communication techniques, maintenance of a secure environment, and accurate identification of nursing challenges. It requires delivering age-specific care informed by human developmental knowledge, prioritizing patient privacy and safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
Responsibilities
- Administer nursing care tailored to individual patients, employing critical thinking and the nursing process to create and record personalized care plans.
- Perform specialized technical nursing duties and adhere to established protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy rigorously.
- Collaborate effectively within the healthcare team in alignment with the hospital's mission and values.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program with either a Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in Nursing.
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferably has previous experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Possession of current nursing licensure as required by the appropriate Nursing Board.
- Valid certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), AWHONN levels, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), the latter earned within the last six months.
