Position Summary
This permanent part-time role is based at Keith Park Retirement Village in Hobsonville within the Special Care Unit. The caregiver will provide compassionate, expert assistance to residents, particularly those affected by dementia. Working hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Duties include supervision of residents and facilitating engagement activities tailored to individual needs. Care plans must be diligently followed to deliver top-quality support, while fostering meaningful relationships with residents and their families by learning about their personal histories. The role also involves utilizing innovative care technology, including a specialized app named myRyman.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in dementia-specific caregiving is essential.
- Strong empathy paired with excellent communication abilities.
- A naturally kind, professional, and friendly demeanor.
- A pledge to complete relevant unit standards or equivalent qualifications approved by Ryman within 18 months of employment.
