Job description

About the Company

National Vehicle Distribution (NVD) is a family-run business founded in 1980. The company was created to support vehicle manufacturers with safe, timely, and damage-free delivery of vehicles. Over the years, it has grown into a single-source provider covering the main elements of outbound logistics, including moving, storing, and preparing vehicles before they reach their final destination.

Since its early days, NVD has been a leader in digital innovation within the finished vehicle logistics sector, using new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce time and cost for customers. Its focus on progress and continuous service improvement remains central to the business.

Role Overview

This position is for a skilled Panel Beater who will carry out high-standard body repair work on vehicles so they are restored to manufacturer specifications. The work includes strip and refit tasks, panel replacement, cosmetic and major repairs, and welding. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-focused, experienced in body repair methods, and committed to delivering excellent workmanship.

The job also involves chassis alignment, jig work, dent removal, and using specialist equipment such as dent-pulling and welding tools. Experience with aluminium, brass, and plastic repairs would be an advantage, although training can be provided where needed.

A positive approach, a strong drive to finish work to a high standard, and close attention to detail are important. Basic computer skills and an openness to learning new systems and repair techniques are also required. A full, clean Class B driving licence is mandatory.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity in Rosslare, County Wexford, Ireland. A €2,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and eligibility to work in Ireland is required.

  • Complete heavy repair work to a consistently high finish, including filler shaping and final surface quality.
  • Replace damaged panels when required.
  • Carry out MIG/MAG steel welding and spot welding.
  • Use chassis alignment and jig equipment effectively.
  • Work with dent-pulling and other specialist body repair tools.
  • Apply aluminium, brass, and plastic repair methods where needed, with training available for some techniques.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a panel beater, including strip and refit, panel repair, and panel replacement.
  • Hands-on experience with chassis alignment and jig work.
  • Ability to use dent-pulling equipment.
  • Experience with plastic welding or glue-pulling tools is beneficial; training can be provided.
  • Strong determination and the ability to see tasks through to completion.
  • Basic computer skills; further training can be provided.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a clear commitment to high-quality work.
  • A full, clean Class B driving licence.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Pay and Benefits

  • Annual salary of €42,000 to €45,000, based on skills and experience.
