Job description

Role overview

This position focuses on paid social and performance marketing for direct-to-consumer brands, with campaign work across Meta and TikTok. The role reports to a Senior Paid Social Manager and is centred on driving profitable growth through execution, optimisation, and performance analysis. The main success measures include ROAS, CAC, MER, spend efficiency, and client retention.

About the company

The team partners with ambitious e-commerce brands aiming to scale from £2M to £7M+ using high-performance paid social and creative-led growth strategies. The approach is commercial and outcome-led, with an emphasis on profitable acquisition, stronger retention, and scalable growth rather than vanity metrics or heavy agency process. The agency manages more than £10M in annual paid media spend across Meta and TikTok for brands such as Lucky Saint, Fem Fuelz, Butter & Crust, Four Five, and Aromatherapy Associates. It is part of a leading UK Meta independent agency group and values speed, ownership, accountability, and real impact.

Location and working style

This is a remote-first position for candidates based in the UK. There is also optional access to a London office in Camden at The Roundhouse for those who want in-person collaboration.

What you will do

You will manage paid social activity for a portfolio of DTC e-commerce brands, working closely with senior team members and growth specialists to keep campaigns aligned with performance goals. The role suits someone with strong fundamentals in paid social who wants to deepen their expertise and grow into a strategic leadership track.

Responsibilities

  • Run day-to-day paid social campaigns across Meta and TikTok, making sure account setup, budget allocation, and delivery remain at a high standard.
  • Track performance every day and make proactive optimisation changes to improve efficiency, increase scale, and protect profitability.
  • Build and maintain full-funnel activity across prospecting, retargeting, and retention stages.
  • Help scale winning campaigns while safeguarding core metrics such as CAC, ROAS, and MER.
  • Review data from Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Triple Whale, Shopify, and internal dashboards to spot trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Turn performance data into practical recommendations for clients and internal teams.
  • Own reporting quality by keeping data accurate, insights clear, and recommendations commercially relevant.
  • Respond quickly to underperformance and work with senior colleagues on recovery plans and testing.
  • Partner with creative teams by sharing performance feedback that improves creative effectiveness and acquisition outcomes.
  • Identify winning hooks, formats, messages, and offers from ad performance to guide future testing.
  • Contribute to creative testing plans and flag creative fatigue early so new concepts can be launched in time.
  • Support client meetings, reviews, and planning conversations with clear updates and actionable insight.
  • Communicate results and progress in a confident, professional way that clients can easily understand.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness, reliable follow-through, and thoughtful problem-solving.
  • Work closely with senior managers and cross-functional teammates to execute account strategy effectively.
  • Share learnings, test outcomes, and platform updates to strengthen team knowledge and overall performance.
  • Help improve workflows, reporting systems, and operational processes that support agency growth.
  • Take an active role in team meetings, planning sessions, and knowledge-sharing efforts.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of practical paid social experience in an agency setting or within a DTC e-commerce business.
  • Hands-on experience using Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager to build, manage, and optimise campaigns.
  • Good understanding of campaign structure, audience planning, creative testing, and optimisation best practices.
  • Comfort using Triple Whale, Shopify, GA4, and platform reporting tools to analyse performance and guide decisions.
  • Strong commercial judgment with knowledge of e-commerce growth metrics such as ROAS, CAC, MER, and acquisition efficiency.
  • Ability to explain performance clearly to colleagues and clients.
  • Well organised, detail-focused, and able to handle multiple accounts and priorities at once.
  • Proactive, improvement-minded, and comfortable solving problems quickly.
  • Collaborative approach and positive contribution to team culture.
  • Genuine interest in performance marketing, e-commerce growth, and staying current with industry changes.

Values

  • Extreme ownership: take responsibility, learn from outcomes, and avoid blame-shifting.
  • Radical curiosity: question assumptions and look for better ideas.
  • Kind candour: communicate honestly and with purpose.
  • Client-centric thinking: act in the client’s best interests and think like an owner.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing, ambitious business with a collaborative and people-first culture.
  • Remote-first working setup with optional access to the London office for collaboration and team connection.
  • 27 days of annual leave, plus public holidays and your birthday off each year.
  • Ability to work abroad for up to 30 days per year, subject to terms and conditions.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Private health insurance available after 6 months.
  • Life insurance and Smart Health wellbeing support.
  • Healthcare cash plan that supports dental, optical, and physiotherapy needs.
  • A clear progression framework to support career growth.
  • Annual pay reviews linked to performance and contribution.
  • Monthly incentives and a Kudos rewards programme.
  • Christmas performance bonus scheme.
  • Ongoing learning and development support.
  • Supportive team environment built around growth, learning, and success.

Success measures

In the first 0–3 months, you are expected to settle into your client portfolio, learn the company’s processes and reporting systems, and begin handling campaign execution and optimisation with confidence. By this stage, you should be seen as organised, dependable, and able to take ownership of day-to-day account work.

By 6 months, you should be contributing to stronger account performance, bringing useful insights that improve acquisition efficiency, creative output, and profitability. You should need minimal oversight and be trusted within your pod.

By 12 months, you should be operating as a strong account owner, making strategic recommendations, contributing to creative testing direction, and demonstrating readiness to progress toward a Senior Paid Social Manager position.
