Role Overview
The Owner will spearhead the company's overall strategic direction, operational management, and financial oversight, fully engaged on a full-time basis. This position operates on a hybrid model based in Dubai, offering some flexibility for remote work contingent on operational requirements.
Key daily duties involve setting organizational objectives, managing budgets and cash flows, reviewing upcoming projects, and sanctioning major bids and contracts. The Owner supervises project managers and onsite teams, oversees scheduling and quality assurance, and ensures adherence to local regulations and safety protocols.
Additional Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Identify and pursue new business ventures.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements at a high level.
- Make significant decisions regarding hiring, vendor selection, and resource distribution.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, risk management, and long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience within the construction, engineering, real estate development, or a closely aligned sector, preferably at the ownership, director, or senior leadership level.
- Proficient business management skills including strategic planning, financial oversight, budgeting, and knowledge of contracting, tendering, and procurement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction project management aspects such as scheduling, resource allocation, site coordination, quality control, and health & safety standards.
- Strong negotiation abilities and stakeholder management experience, with a proven ability to build client and partner networks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide strategic guidance, inspire teams, and resolve conflicts in dynamic settings.
- Competent in hybrid work environments leveraging digital tools for collaboration, reporting, and project monitoring.
- Possesses a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications in business or management are advantageous.
- Experience dealing with multi-regional markets and regulatory environments, especially those in Zambia and the UAE, is favorable.
