Role overview
This position focuses on bringing in new performance advertising clients across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. You will own the complete sales journey, from finding prospects to closing deals, while helping grow revenue, strengthen the client pipeline, and support the creation of overseas sales processes and industry-specific capabilities.
Core responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to potential advertisers, especially in mobile games and apps, using ecosystem partnerships, industry events, online research, and referrals.
- Hold strong client discussions, both online and in person, to understand business goals and advertising needs, and clearly explain Tencent AMS overseas solutions.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, manage negotiations, and drive opportunities through contract signing and client onboarding.
- Partner with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure client needs are properly translated into execution and to resolve onboarding issues quickly.
- Keep leads and opportunities accurately updated in the CRM, and share regular updates on pipeline health, forecasts, and key sales metrics such as lead-to-close rate and sales cycle duration.
- Build productive connections with other internal business units supporting international expansion so teams can share resources and create mutual value.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in overseas performance advertising sales or business development, with programmatic advertising experience preferred.
- A proven history of winning new clients from scratch and building business from the ground up.
- Exposure to or familiarity with games, e-commerce, or brand export sectors is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently in uncertain or changing situations.
- Solid understanding of performance advertising, programmatic buying, and mobile attribution.
- Knowledge of data privacy rules such as GDPR and CCPA is preferred.
- Fluent professional English is required as the working language.
- Ability to speak local market languages such as Japanese, Korean, or German is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to coordinate across multiple time zones and work well in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Additional information
This role is based in Singapore and is designed for a full-time onsite work arrangement.
