About the Role

Join TasNetworks as an Outage Coordinator and play an essential part in maintaining dependable service and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective management of network outages within the Electrical Services team. This role is based in Cambridge, Tasmania, and offers a base salary starting at $120,696 per year plus superannuation benefits.

Your key duties will include validating network outage requests to maximize operational efficiency and reduce disruptions to customers. You will be responsible for clear and timely communications to customers impacted by scheduled outages while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders, lead customer notifications on outages, manage Network Access Order (NAO) submissions, evaluate and improve outage processes, and handle incident responses aligned with TasNetworks' systems and protocols.

About You

Successful candidates will possess an Electrical Practitioner’s Licence and/or an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Supply Industry – Power Systems, or have considerable practical industry experience along with demonstrated skills in outage management or network operations. Strong verbal and written communication abilities are crucial for this role, as you will need to convey complex technical information effectively to a variety of audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with strong data analysis capabilities to inform decisions and optimize processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and supporting the implementation of enhanced operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes in fast-paced conditions while maintaining rigorous standards of safety, regulatory compliance, customer service, and operational excellence.
