Role Overview

Join the Smart Infrastructure Division at Siemens Limited, a global leader in providing products, systems, solutions, and services for efficient and intelligent electrical power transmission and distribution. Your key responsibilities will include managing order execution and ensuring smooth project management for medium voltage (MV) products with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and officially acknowledge orders from sales or acquisition teams, following established processes and protocol checklists.
  • Transfer detailed techno-commercial order information to the engineering department after thorough verification.
  • Identify requirements for non-standard or long lead-time items with proposals and take necessary actions to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor project milestones to ensure timely delivery compliance.
  • Conduct commercial reviews including payment terms, liquidated damages, and validity of vendor materials.
  • Coordinate technical clarifications and participate in kickoff meetings with customers.
  • Collaborate closely with proposal teams, engineering, and manufacturing units to align design, documentation, production, and testing activities with delivery targets.
  • Manage submission of drawings to customers, address their comments, and facilitate customer approvals by visiting sites if needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation for easy retrieval throughout and after project completion.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders to resolve engineering project issues smoothly.
  • Oversee change management and claims to secure or improve order profitability.
  • Arrange dispatch clearance from customers and coordinate shipment activities with the factory.
  • Handle bought-out items such as bus ducts, control & relay panels, adaptors, and site activities effectively.
  • Address post-delivery and site-related queries, generate Customer Feedback Reports (CFR) on quality complaints, and liaise with logistics and customer service teams for resolutions.
  • Maintain close connections with customers and regional companies, providing consistent support and fostering strong customer relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 to 8 years of experience in order or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear products and fundamentals, with the ability to interpret customer technical specifications and single line diagrams accurately.
  • Solid background in medium and low voltage products and systems.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills to interact effectively at various organizational levels.
  • High motivation, a sense of urgency, energetic work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PowerBI, and related applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Siemens factories and customer locations as required.
