Role Overview

The position offers a unique chance for technically inclined individuals to enter the niche optical manufacturing sector. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this a great match for those with a background in precision mechanics or a keen interest in advanced technical fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and integrate various optical and non-optical components with careful technical precision.
  • Operate and set up advanced optical metrology equipment to test components and accurately interpret measurement data.
  • Design and produce custom tools essential for the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in assembling and aligning complex opto-mechanical systems.
  • Examine project specifications and technical drawings to ensure all outputs meet strict quality standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess excellent manual dexterity and enjoy problem-solving within a workshop environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Physically able to work in a workshop and handle items weighing up to 20 kilograms.
  • Preferably have several years’ experience in mechanical or precision manufacturing, though prior optical experience is not mandatory.
