Job description

Position overview

This role sits within Deutsche Bank’s Private Bank division, which brings together the bank’s private client business in Germany with its international private and commercial client activities, alongside Wealth Management, under one structure. The division serves high-net-worth individuals, companies, family offices, and foundations by building tailored solutions in areas such as wealth planning, asset management with individualized risk controls, lending, and deposits.

What this role covers

As an Operations Specialist, you will support the Private Banking business in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the DSSA platform. You will work in close coordination with local Front Office colleagues, including Business Heads, Relationship Managers, Client Service Executives, and Investment Managers, as well as teams from Compliance, Legal, Anti-Financial Crime, and Business Management.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Front Office through the full new-client onboarding journey, including coordination and review of legal documents, correct setup of accounts in Deutsche Bank systems, and participation in meetings for complex account structures and Know Your Client checks.
  • Work with the Front Office, COO, and other relevant partners to launch new products, support growth initiatives, handle client data changes, manage account closures, and maintain a high standard of client service.
  • Deliver and supervise essential operational support for sophisticated financial products while ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policies, and actively monitor progress by following up with Relationship Managers and Investment Managers.
  • Review onboarding and static-data workflows on an ongoing basis and recommend improvements that strengthen efficiency, resilience, and operational quality.
  • Provide guidance on exceptions and complex cases, using strong subject-matter knowledge to keep processes aligned with operational and regulatory expectations.
  • Coordinate with offshore Wealth Management teams to ensure smooth cross-location service delivery and operational support.
  • Contribute specialist knowledge and partner with the Agile organization on project implementation.
  • Take on additional duties that support personal development and carry out other tasks assigned by the team supervisor.

Candidate profile

The bank is looking for a motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine willingness to learn. A strong interest in financial markets and Private Bank business is important, along with an academic record that supports success in a professional, diverse environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or finance is required; a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience, ideally in operations within an international private bank.
  • Advanced capability in MS Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with varied stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and work well in teams across locations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to handle pressure.
  • Good time management, with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and readiness to learn new skills and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical ability, including data analysis, with strong attention to detail in both planning and execution.

  • Life insurance.
  • Accidental death insurance.
  • Permanent partial disability insurance.
  • Private medical insurance for the employee, spouse, and dependent children.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • 30 days of annual paid leave, plus public holidays and flexible working arrangements.
  • DB contributions to the Employee Workplace Savings “Gosi” plan for Saudi nationals only.
  • Flexible working to help balance personal priorities.
