About the Role
Join Volvo Group to lead the transformation and operations of our Bengaluru Distribution Center as we transition from a Regional Distribution Center (RDC) to a Central Distribution Center (CDC). This role is key in optimizing domestic and international supply chain activities, driving operational and workforce excellence while embracing sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive warehouse activities including inbound, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and reconciliation.
- Prepare and execute the RDC to CDC transformation to support increased operational complexity and volume.
- Optimize efficiency, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost control within warehouse operations.
- Implement strong governance frameworks, controls, and performance monitoring systems.
- Lead initiatives for CDC expansion and develop scalable distribution strategies across regions and international markets.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure smooth logistics and execution.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement methodologies including problem-solving tools like RCA, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Spearhead digital transformation utilizing analytics, dashboards, and BI tools to enhance decision-making and process optimization.
- Foster a customer-centric, high-performance workplace culture with focus on coaching, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, legal compliance, and proactive risk management.
- Manage labor relations, liaising with union representatives, and work closely with consultants on organizational development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (BE/B.Tech) or MBA with specialization in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related fields.
- Over 8 years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale warehouse or distribution facilities.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is advantageous.
- Certification as a Power BI Data Analyst Associate is preferred.
- Experience working across regional and international supply chain operations highly valued.

The position is based in Hoskote, Karnataka, India, and reports to the Head of Distribution Center Bangalore. Occasional travel may be required.
