Operations Manager - Aluminium and Glass Fabrication

About the Role

Are you an experienced Operations Manager specialized in Aluminium, Glass, Façade, or Construction sectors? This opportunity is with a leading UAE-based company known for its architectural aluminium, glass, façade engineering, and metal fabrication solutions. The company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant delivering landmark projects across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily factory operations covering aluminium fabrication, glass processing, cutting, machining, assembly, and glazing activities.
• Create and oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow optimization to ensure timely delivery of multiple projects.
• Maintain strict quality control and assurance standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Implement preventive maintenance for all machinery including CNC equipment and production lines.
• Collaborate closely with site supervisors and project teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of fabricated units at construction sites.
• Manage site logistics and adherence to installation procedures for aluminium and glass systems like windows, curtain walls, doors, and skylights.
• Oversee snagging, defect rectification, and final handover aligned with client and consultant specifications.
• Serve as the principal operations contact for construction companies, property developers, main contractors, and consultant teams.
• Participate in site meetings and progress reviews to coordinate production and installation timelines with construction milestones.
• Handle operational and technical client inquiries to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Forecast procurement, manage raw material and finished goods inventory, and optimize stock levels to reduce waste and downtime with a just-in-time delivery approach.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction safety regulations, Dubai Municipality standards, Civil Defence requirements, and industry codes.
• Develop and enforce health, safety, and environment policies on factory floors and all active installation locations.
• Lead, coach, and manage multi-disciplinary teams including production supervisors, factory staff, site foremen, logistics coordinators, and QC inspectors.
• Control operational budgets, minimize material wastage, and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Prepare and present operational KPIs, project updates, and resource requirements to senior management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 10 years of professional experience predominantly in Operations, Production, or Plant Management roles.
• Extensive background in Aluminium & Glass manufacturing, Façade/Cladding, or Construction industries.
• In-depth technical knowledge of aluminium fabrication techniques, glass processing, glazing systems, and building envelope products such as curtain walls, windows, doors, and handrails.
• Hands-on experience managing both factory production and on-site construction installation coordination.
• Proven client interaction experience with construction companies, developers, contractors, or consultants in the UAE or GCC region.
• Strong leadership capabilities managing diverse, multicultural teams across production and field operations.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and practical experience with ERP or production planning software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and execution management.
• Possession of a valid driving license.
