Job description
Overview
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for conducting engineering analysis, development, design, coordination, and management of projects within established engineering disciplines. This role demands proficiency in the specific engineering field, familiarity with relevant codes and standards, and multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and review engineering work done outside the Saudi Aviation Organization (SAO) to ensure alignment with SAO standards and integration with current installations, recommending redesigns or modifications when necessary.
- Define ancillary service requirements such as drafting, surveying, materials quantification, requisitioning, and administrative support; monitor progress and validate accuracy upon completion.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering engineering labor, equipment, and materials derived from preliminary design data; assemble detailed expenditure requests and justifications.
- Support fellow engineers in troubleshooting issues beyond their specialty areas.
- Compile reports, gather performance metrics, and conduct studies pertinent to equipment development, procurement, or adaptation; interpret relevant codes, standards, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
- Contribute to developing engineering, materials, and equipment specifications while addressing associated engineering challenges following recognized principles, codes, and standards.
- Formulate design foundations and develop solutions by analyzing operational requirements, processes, and economic factors to propose new constructions, modifications, or maintenance activities.
- Inspect and monitor construction progress of designated projects, ensuring compliance with organizational engineering criteria; endorse or suggest design changes, material substitutions, and confirm adherence to budget limits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience
