Role overview

HM Prison and Probation Service is hiring an Operational Support Grade for HMP Guys Marsh in Blandford Forum, England, United Kingdom. This is a busy, hands-on position that helps the prison operate smoothly and securely every day.

The role mixes desk-based duties with physically active work. You may be involved in security checks and gate searches, handling deliveries, overseeing visitors, watching phone activity and CCTV, and moving around the prison grounds to escort vehicles. The job is varied and requires someone comfortable with both administrative and practical tasks.

What the role involves

You will contribute to the safe and efficient running of the prison by supporting a wide range of operational tasks. The position is part of a collaborative team and is designed for someone who can stay composed, use sound judgement, and work well with others.

Shift work is part of the role, including weekend and night shifts.
