Job Overview

This role as the Onsite Technical Site Lead places you at the forefront of Global End User Services, responsible for delivering onsite end-user support and managing IT infrastructure at the Upper Hutt, Wellington location. You will provide technical leadership, maintain vendor services alignment, and ensure all operations meet business and compliance standards within a global IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage onsite support services and infrastructure operations for the site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, networks, and user systems.
  • Oversee local IT service delivery, including vendor management against set KPIs.
  • Support production and supply chain technology systems such as handheld devices, laptops, and scanners.
  • Implement and support IT projects and technological integrations at the site.
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance across EHS, financial, and GxP standards.
  • Use ITSM processes including Configuration, Change, Incident, and Problem Management to ensure quality service.
  • Maintain server and communication rooms in a compliant and organized manner.
  • Manage IT assets and the site budget effectively.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members and report to senior IT leadership.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, suppliers, and global IT teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Offer after-hours support for IT upgrades and advanced troubleshooting when required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Preferably hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Possess extensive experience with IT infrastructure services and operations.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise supporting production and supply chain systems.
  • Strong knowledge of end-user computing, networks, servers, wireless technology, backup solutions, and structured cabling.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot network firewalls, servers, process networks, and user-facing interfaces.
  • Experience working in GxP-compliant manufacturing or laboratory environments.
  • Understanding of the Purdue Model, SFN, and OT-IoT concepts.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or comparable ITSM frameworks, as well as project management principles.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, and Sunbird DCIM tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively prioritize tasks, and escalate issues appropriately.
