Role Overview
This position is for an experienced oil and gas professional who can guide upstream transformation work and support strategic decision-making across exploration, drilling, production, and asset management. The role combines client advisory, program leadership, operational improvement, and digital enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with senior client and internal stakeholders, serving as a dependable advisor on upstream operational and strategic topics.
- Interpret business challenges and convert them into practical, value-focused recommendations.
- Lead transformation initiatives across exploration, drilling, production, and asset management functions.
- Coordinate teams spread across multiple functions and locations while keeping delivery, quality, and budget on track.
- Study upstream market movements, regulatory changes, and technology developments to support better decisions.
- Use data-backed analysis to compare performance against industry benchmarks.
- Spot inefficiencies in processes and implement structured improvement approaches.
- Support cost-reduction efforts while protecting safety standards and production outcomes.
- Improve asset usage and overall production efficiency.
- Encourage adoption of digital capabilities such as analytics, AI, IoT, and automation in upstream environments.
- Work with technology teams on sector-relevant solutions such as reservoir modeling and well optimization tools.
- Guide and coach junior consultants and engineers, and help build a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Carry out performance reviews and create development plans to strengthen team capability.
- Share recommendations, progress updates, dashboards, reports, and business cases with senior leadership.

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or Business Administration is required.
- An MBA or master's degree is preferred.
Certifications Preferred or Required
- PMP
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- NEBOSH or IOSH
- API certifications such as API 510, 570, or 653
- SPE membership or certification
- Well control certification through IWCF or IADC
- SAP Oil & Gas or SAP IS-OIL
- Petrel or Schlumberger tools certification
- Data analytics or AI certification from Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- SCADA or PI System training

Applicants must have at least 9 years of relevant experience.
Compensation and Other Details
The annual salary range is INR 20,00,000 to INR 40,00,000. One opening is available. The role starts immediately. No internship duration applies.
