About the Department

The Offshore Supply Chain Department at Vestas manages logistics and warehouse operations aboard Service Operations Vessels and Jack-Up Vessels. These operations support the Offshore Special Projects and Service teams who install, service, and maintain wind turbines across various European offshore wind farms. The department prides itself on an open and informal atmosphere emphasizing teamwork and clear communication, providing an energizing workplace with motivated colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage picking, issuing, and receiving materials and spare parts necessary for technician teams.
  • Maintain constant communication with the Service organization and technicians to ensure timely delivery of tools, spare parts, and equipment.
  • Oversee stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records using SAP ERP.
  • Ensure precise posting of materials and carry out regular inventory checks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in warehouses and workspaces while complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate logistics of goods transportation and customs clearance during port visits.
  • Manage and coordinate inspection, testing, and calibration activities for PPE, hoists, testing tools, and related equipment, acting as the appointed calibration representative on site.
  • Request quotations, initiate purchase orders, and support local procurement processes.
  • Supervise appropriate waste management and disposal procedures onboard and at ports.
  • Coordinate urgent spare parts delivery to wind farms as needed.
  • Assist the Service Site Management team with various organizational and administrative tasks.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed vocational training and/or degree in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar area.
  • Experience in warehouse operations; prior involvement in the wind energy sector is advantageous.
  • Holder of a valid driving license.
  • Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and declarations is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, Transport Management Systems, and ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Fluent English communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational capability with effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Committed to complying with applicable laws and regulations.
