Role Overview
Ajanta Pharma Ltd is looking for an Accounts Officer focused on bank reconciliation for its Mumbai operation in Andheri East. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in the pharmaceutical sector, and candidates who can join immediately are preferred. Practical experience in SAP-based bank reconciliation is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out everyday bank reconciliations in SAP and Microsoft Excel, covering all foreign exchange bank accounts as well.
- Post, check, and account for bank payment transactions linked to forex expenses, import remittances, fixed deposits, mutual funds, bank charges, and unpaid dividends.
- Process bank receipt entries from employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders after confirming the relevant documents and bank advice.
- Work with the Finance, ISS, and Distribution functions to close pending collections, settle statement mismatches, and address bank advice-related concerns.
- Upload supporting paperwork into SAP, track unresolved collection and payment items, and keep management informed about pending matters.
- Assist with internal and statutory audits by sharing accurate reconciliation records, finance documentation, and prompt replies to audit questions.
- Keep FOB statements current, including details for export freight, clearing and forwarding, and insurance costs.
Candidate Profile
- A B.Com degree or an equivalent qualification is required; an MBA or M.Com will be considered an advantage.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in accounts and bank reconciliation.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and advanced comfort with Microsoft Excel are essential.
- A solid grasp of banking transactions, forex accounting, and financial reconciliation processes is needed.
- The role calls for sharp analytical ability, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to work to deadlines.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills are important.
