About the Role
Join EY as the Oceania Records and Information Management (RIM) Leader, a crucial role within the Data Risk environment. This role focuses on overseeing the entire lifecycle management of records and data to enhance productivity, ensure compliance, and minimize risk for EY, its employees, and clients. The scope includes implementing and advising on global RIM initiatives across Oceania, emphasizing lifecycle activities such as creation, use, storage, retention, and disposal, along with awareness, quality, compliance, technology, and performance management.
This position is based at EY offices throughout Aotearoa and offers potential flexible working arrangements and reduced hours based on discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage in-depth RIM knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor implementing and executing EY’s Global RIM program and policies across the Oceania region.
- Drive program growth and strengthen compliance by monitoring and testing according to EY’s compliance framework.
- Oversee the use of service delivery tools, storage environments, and archives, ensuring records are appropriately maintained and disposed of in line with policy; manage third-party contracts for off-site storage.
- Act as the principal regional contact for RIM inquiries including incident reporting, client assurance, Privacy Impact Assessments, and activities linked to acquisitions or divestitures.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with senior leaders and business units to raise awareness of RIM risks and opportunities within Oceania.
- Engage actively within the Oceania RIM community to share knowledge, participate in meetings, and contribute improvements.
- Deliver training and promote awareness on RIM policies, industry best practices, compliance obligations, and teamwork principles.
- Lead change initiatives to enhance RIM effectiveness and address emerging data risk concerns globally within EY.
- Perform additional reasonable duties and comply with firm instructions.

- Meticulous organizational skills to effectively manage the records lifecycle and compliance monitoring processes.
- Accountable for local implementation and oversight of global RIM programs and policies.
- Experience in establishing governance and risk management frameworks, including process control design, risk assessment, and corrective action management.
- Preferred qualifications include formal credentials in Records or Information Management and strong digital/data literacy, including familiarity with AI, agent workflows, and Power Platform automation tools.
