Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join Evolve Ireland, located in Blanchardstown, Fingal. This full-time position entails a 37.5-hour workweek, with part-time schedules considered for a minimum of three days weekly. The salary ranges from 32,000 to 32,000 annually, based on experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform face-to-face structured observations integral to the neurodevelopmental Assessment of Need process.
• Conduct remote developmental history interviews with parents and caregivers.
• Participate in collaborative multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions, guided by senior staff.
• Provide compassionate and clear feedback to families post-assessment.
• Generate precise clinical reports including diagnostic formulations using advanced digital tools.
• Work efficiently to achieve the service's key performance indicators.
• Offer clinical supervision where applicable.
• Travel to clinic locations for in-person assessment sessions as part of a hybrid working arrangement.

Operating Framework

• Employ digital workflows and intelligent report writing to minimize administrative tasks.
• Utilize an internally developed electronic health records system based on leading research.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in internal systems guided by employee feedback to enhance efficiency.
• Participate in comprehensive onboarding and training to become proficient in all systems and technologies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) coupled with current CORU registration.
• At least three years of experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental disorders in children or young people.
• Proficient understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Thorough knowledge of DSM-5 criteria or equivalent standards for autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities.
• Training and hands-on experience with diagnostic instruments such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
• Strong organizational skills with effective time management to juggle caseloads and meet clinical deadlines.
• Exceptional written communication skills for delivering high-quality clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities, ensuring compassionate interactions with clients and families throughout assessments.
• A track record of collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility to work legally in the Republic of Ireland.
