Role Responsibilities

• Conduct structured face-to-face observations as part of neurodevelopmental assessments.
• Perform remote developmental history interviews with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary team discussions for accurate diagnostic formulation under senior clinician supervision.
• Communicate compassionate and clear feedback to families.
• Prepare precise clinical reports employing advanced digital tools.
• Manage caseloads efficiently to meet service performance targets.
• Provide clinical supervision when appropriate.
• Travel to clinical sites for in-person assessments, supporting a hybrid work model.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a recognized undergraduate degree or diploma (NQAI Level 8 equivalent) with psychology as a major, awarded with first or second-class honours.
• Possess a postgraduate professional psychology qualification recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland or the Department of Health in Clinical or Counselling Psychology; Educational Psychologists must hold a postgraduate qualification accepted by PSI.
• Have at least three years of experience conducting diagnostic assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism or ADHD in children, young people, and/or adults.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of differential diagnosis and extensive familiarity with DSM-5 or equivalent diagnostic criteria.
• Be trained and experienced in neurodevelopmental diagnostic tools like ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
• Show proficiency in cognitive assessments relevant to autism and ADHD.
• Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities and meet clinical deadlines.
• Possess strong written communication aptitude to produce detailed clinical reports.
• Display effective interpersonal skills for compassionate and professional communication with clients and families.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, engaging in diagnostic discussions effectively.
• Eligibility to work legally in the Republic of Ireland is required.
