Role Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to safeguard and advance Holafly's international growth by crafting impactful commercial legal strategies. This pivotal role partners closely with business units to ensure our global partnerships, product launches, and vendor agreements are legally sound and commercially viable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations and prepare comprehensive contracts for commercial, marketing, service, and strategic partnership deals of significant value.
- Provide pragmatic, law-compliant advice for scaling technology products, focusing on consumer protection and telecommunications law globally.
- Minimize corporate liability throughout multiple legal jurisdictions while supporting agile business operations and international growth.
- Protect company interests by managing data privacy compliance and intellectual property licensing tactics.
Essential Qualifications
- Law degree with qualification as a lawyer in Ireland, the UK, or Portugal and 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong proficiency in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements such as master service agreements, NDAs, and IP licensing contracts.
- Excellent legal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Deep understanding of data privacy laws, intellectual property rights, and commercial contract law.
Preferred Attributes
- Fluency in both Spanish and English to facilitate collaboration with our international teams.
- Previous experience working in high-growth startups, the technology or telecommunications sectors, or within a pertinent law firm setting.
- Knowledge of international contracting and familiarity with EU regulations.
