Job description

About the role

Peninsula Plus is hiring Occupational Therapists at any stage of their career, from recent graduates to clinicians with substantial experience. The practice is a neuro-affirming allied health provider based on the Mornington Peninsula and is expanding its team. The position is designed to offer meaningful clinical work, strong support, and room to develop in line with your interests.

Team and culture

You will join a close-knit group that values curiosity, collaboration, and kindness. The workplace is described as a supportive community where colleagues share ideas, debrief after complex sessions, and celebrate each other’s achievements. The goal is to create an environment where people feel they belong, not just work together.

Professional development and growth

The role includes a personalised development pathway built around your goals and interests. Depending on where you want to specialise, you may have opportunities to build capability in assistive technology, functional capacity assessments, early childhood practice, and related areas. Clinical supervision, peer support, and everyday collaboration are part of the working model, so you are not expected to navigate challenges alone.

Flexibility and work settings

The position offers flexibility in both schedule and work environment. You can choose hours that suit your life and work across clinic-based appointments, home visits, school settings, or community locations. Caseloads are shaped to align with the kinds of work that motivate you, with the ability to grow and shift over time.

What the work involves

In this position, you will support children and young adults across different settings with participation in daily life, independence, and the development of functional skills. You will work closely with families, educators, and support workers, while also collaborating with a broader multidisciplinary team that includes Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Specialist Teachers, Behaviour Support Practitioners, and Allied Health Assistants.

Benefits and workplace support

The package includes an above-award salary plus superannuation, paid travel, and a laptop supplied for work use. You will also have access to professional development funding, internal learning opportunities, and regular team meetings. The clinics in Mornington and Frankston are described as bright and attractive, and there are flexible employment arrangements available to suit different life stages.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy and have current AHPRA registration. You will also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain them. A valid driver’s licence is required. The organisation is looking for someone who is genuinely curious and committed to collaborative, person-centred practice.

Additional information

This opportunity is open to both new graduates and experienced Occupational Therapists. The employer values potential, attitude, and a willingness to work in a team-focused, client-centred environment.
