Role overview
WorkFocus Australia is looking for an Allied Health Team Leader to guide a multidisciplinary group of Rehabilitation Consultants in Darwin or Adelaide. The position combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on client work, and can include a lighter personal caseload depending on your area of focus. The role also involves meaningful work with DVA clients.
This opportunity is open on either a full-time or part-time basis. The organisation emphasizes client impact, professional growth, mentoring, and employee wellbeing.
What you will do
- Lead, support, and coach a team of consultants.
- Monitor team output, service quality, and overall performance.
- Look for new business opportunities and areas for expansion.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
- Advise colleagues on case management methods while managing a smaller specialised caseload of your own.
- Identify barriers to return-to-work and develop, apply, and track rehabilitation plans that help injured workers re-enter the workforce.
What we are looking for
- Professional qualification and registration in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Chiropractic, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel for work.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in workers’ compensation, rehabilitation, and occupational health and safety legislation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with insurers, medical professionals, employers, and employees.
- Ability to collect, assess, and interpret information to produce detailed and reliable evaluations.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to support referrals and contribute to business growth.
- Good planning, organisation, and time management skills.
