NZ English Audio Transcription Specialist

This position involves working as an English (New Zealand) Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert on a contract basis, offering remote flexibility with a compensation of $50 per hour. The expected weekly commitment ranges between 10 and 20 hours.

Primary Responsibilities

• Transcribe and enhance audio and video content in New Zealand English, ensuring high-quality clarity and strict adherence to provided guidelines.
• Establish and document evaluation criteria, including creating rubrics and grading templates tailored to New Zealand English.
• Perform testing and grading of AI models, delivering constructive feedback to support model improvements related to New Zealand English audio tasks.
• Assist with benchmarking processes and maintain quality assurance to uphold reliability and consistency in datasets.
• Work closely with project leads to clarify ambiguities and improve task designs.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent capabilities in writing, editing, and critical analysis.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and comply with deadlines.
• Native or near-native proficiency in New Zealand English.
• Familiarity with New Zealand's regional vocabulary and the influence of Māori language.
• Availability to dedicate 10 to 20 hours each week to the role.

• Students currently enrolled in college or recent graduates.
• Educational background in linguistics, humanities, or social science fields.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or content localization.
• A keen interest in artificial intelligence and language modeling.
