About the Role
Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort, an esteemed four-star establishment set amidst 130 acres of scenic parkland in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland, is seeking a part-time Night Porter on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract. The property is a notable Victorian house with a rich history dating back to 833 A.D.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests following established company protocols.
- Conducting efficient and courteous guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Providing guests with information regarding the hotel and local area.
- Coordinating any special services requested by guests.
- Implementing emergency procedures to ensure safety of guests and staff.
- Maintaining the appearance of the hotel lobby and entrance areas, including ashtray upkeep and grounds maintenance.
- Performing light cleaning duties such as litter collection, ashtray emptying, tidying furniture, hoovering, and mopping during night hours.
- Ensuring security throughout the hotel during the night shift.
- Setting up conference and function rooms when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluent in English with excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to work night shifts consistently.
- At least one year of experience as a night porter in a 3 or 4-star property.
- Familiarity with front office systems or property management systems preferred.

Contract Details
