Job description
Role Overview
This opportunity is for a motivated Band 5 nurse to join the Neurodevelopmental team focused on supporting youths prescribed ADHD medication. You will collaborate alongside specialists in psychiatry, psychology, occupational therapy, and nursing to provide comprehensive care during ADHD and Autism assessments and medication management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of young patients undergoing ADHD medication treatment.
- Conduct and accurately document physical health measures including height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse in electronic patient records.
- Provide clear clinical communication through outcome letters addressed to primary care physicians and relevant healthcare services.
- Perform risk assessments and work jointly with young people to develop their individualized care plans.
- Assist the team by responding to clinical inquiries effectively.
Training and Support
- Opportunity to participate in a preceptorship programme if needed.
- Team induction, alongside clinical and safeguarding supervision.
- Additional training available, such as ADHD assessment and QB Testing.
