Position Summary

The role of Cleaning Specialist is a full-time position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This on-site role involves ensuring that commercial and residential properties are consistently clean, safe, and well-maintained. Daily responsibilities include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and shared spaces, as well as managing trash removal and recycling processes. Additional specialized duties may include window cleaning both inside and outside, carpet maintenance like vacuuming and spot treating stains, and thorough house cleaning following company standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Competence in residential cleaning duties including home and house cleaning tasks.
• Capability to clean windows thoroughly on interior and exterior surfaces.
• Basic knowledge of carpet care procedures including vacuuming and stain removal.
• Adherence to cleaning protocols and safety processes, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and dependable time management skills to meet cleaning schedules consistently.
• Physical fitness to perform manual labor involving lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving cleaning apparatus.
• Effective communication skills paired with a professional and courteous demeanor towards clients and coworkers.
