Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Native Australian English Voice Actor Specialist to contribute to AI and machine learning work by producing clean, high-quality voice recordings. This role calls for a performer who can handle different scripts, tones, and delivery styles while maintaining strong pronunciation and a natural speaking style.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and record scripts with crisp pronunciation, a natural flow, and the right tone for the task.
- Switch between different voices, emotions, and speaking styles as needed for each project.
- Adhere closely to recording instructions, pronunciation rules, and script-specific directions.
- Submit audio that is free from background noise and other technical imperfections.
- Check recordings carefully to ensure they are complete, accurate, and consistent before sending them in.
- Work within project timelines and meet recording output targets.
- Flag unclear script lines, technical problems, or other recording obstacles to the project team.
- Keep a professional approach and maintain consistency across all submitted recordings.
Requirements
- Native or near-native command of Australian English.
- Strong clarity, articulation, and pronunciation while speaking.
- Ability to adjust pace, tone, emotion, and delivery style based on project requirements.
- Good reading comprehension and the ability to interpret scripts accurately.
- Stable internet access and a quiet place suitable for recording.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using online recording tools or platforms.
- Self-directed work style with the ability to follow detailed instructions independently.
Nice to Have
- Background in voice acting, voice-over work, podcasting, broadcasting, or similar audio-related roles.
- Prior experience recording content for AI, speech recognition, audiobooks, gaming, or media projects.
- Familiarity with audio recording and editing software.
- Access to professional-grade recording gear, including a good microphone and a sound-treated recording setup.
