Role Overview

The National Sales Director will be pivotal in spearheading strategic expansion within the foodservice industry nationwide, specifically for the Diversifood division. This role focuses on growing the redistributor and processor operations that emphasize individually quick frozen (IQF) fruits, vegetables, and frozen FMCG items. The position entails close collaboration with leadership teams across sourcing, procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and operations departments, alongside frequent travel across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive national sales plans targeting broadline foodservice distributors, redistributors, regional and national chains, quick service restaurants (QSRs), multi-unit operators, and industrial/commissary customers.
• Drive expansion in IQF fruits and vegetables, frozen FMCG products, appetizers, and associated frozen categories.
• Establish and nurture relationships with high-level stakeholders including category managers, procurement teams, supply chain leaders, corporate chefs, distribution heads, and chain purchasing groups.
• Identify new sales opportunities and deepen existing account relationships.
• Lead critical sales initiatives such as RFPs, RFQs, category evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions that meet customer-specific needs.
• Deliver market intelligence on commodity trends, supply chain vulnerabilities, competitive dynamics, import shifts, pricing changes, and buyer behavior insights.
• Collaborate on strategies related to margin enhancement, inventory management, and business growth with senior leadership.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade exhibitions, conferences, and client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 10 years’ expertise in foodservice sales, particularly within the frozen foods sector, IQF fruits and veggies, FMCG food categories, or foodservice redistribution.
• Established network and relationships with major broadline distributors.
• Proven competence in managing growth and development of national or regional chain accounts.
• Experience working with multi-location operators and corporate purchasing teams.
• Background involving domestic production, importing, redistribution, or global sourcing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cold chain management and frozen food logistics.
• Proven track record managing strategic, high-volume accounts.
• Strong commercial insight and financial savvy.
• Ability to promote value-added supply chain offerings beyond basic commodity pricing.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
