Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Strategy, you will oversee major grocery retail partnerships nationwide, handling end-to-end customer strategies. Your cross-functional engagement will include collaborating with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide a Key Account Manager to grow their capabilities.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive customer strategies aligned with overall business goals.
- Lead Joint Business Planning sessions with principal grocery retailers.
- Manage the customer profit and loss statements, trade investments, and commercial effectiveness.
- Handle negotiations related to promotional activities, product ranging, and new product introductions.
- Spot and capitalize on opportunities to increase distribution and accelerate category growth across various channels.
- Utilize customer, category, and shopper data insights to inform decision-making.
- Coordinate forecasting and demand planning with internal teams.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to fulfill commercial targets.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in FMCG National Account Management or as a Business Manager.
- Proven track record managing key accounts with Coles and/or Woolworths.
- Excellent commercial skills with direct experience overseeing customer P&Ls.
- Proficiency in leading Joint Business Planning processes and commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with familiarity in platforms like Circana, Nielsen, Quantium, or similar tools.
- Skilled at influencing and engaging both internal teams and external customers.
