Opportunity Overview
Bacardi is seeking a National Account Manager based in Illinois, New York, Maryland, or Washington D.C., to lead and coordinate collaborations across multiple Bacardi functions and customer partnerships. The role is focused on generating value, boosting market share, and driving sales growth through strategic market activation and customized brand initiatives fitting customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional processes to align Bacardi, distributors, and customers towards shared business goals and market share expansion, including spearheading the development of annual sales plans and strategies.
- Develop strategic plans by understanding customer and guest requirements; integrate these insights with Bacardi's diverse portfolio to drive premiumization and growth using analytics, marketing data, and innovation.
- Engage with national hotel chains such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Omni, as well as regional and local food and beverage buyers, fostering strong partnerships through collaboration with distributor and Bacardi sales teams.
- Build relationships throughout the customer's organization to deeply understand their business, negotiate program and portfolio support, and craft insightful customer-focused presentations.
- Participate in customer events to strengthen partnerships and manage reporting activities including business analysis, quarterly business reviews, chain summits, post-program analysis, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
- Drive innovation around menu offerings to enhance premiumization, support cocktail development and social media engagement, and improve operational efficiencies within Bacardi and with partners.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum of eight years of sales experience, including at least four years in customer or chain account management within the spirits or consumer goods industry.
- Proven relationship-building skills through active listening and collaboration focused on mutual accountability and value creation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience managing distributors and customers, including familiarity with e-commerce channels.
- Strong grasp of business fundamentals including pricing, route-to-market strategies, and supply chain processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
