Position Overview

Starting from the school year 2026/2027 (from August 1, 2026), we are looking for a Music Teacher to join our team at Semper Oberschule in Dresden.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, contemporary music education based on curriculum targets and company guidelines.
• Support students in developing into responsible and self-reliant individuals.
• Conduct teaching and related activities including thorough lesson preparation and follow-up.
• Continuously improve teaching quality and instructional methods.
• Prepare, administer, and assess learning evaluations and examinations.
• Potentially serve as a homeroom teacher with responsibilities for class organization and acting as a contact point for students and parents.
• Participate actively in school life and contribute to extracurricular projects, as well as student and parent engagement.
• Take part in administrative duties related to school and classroom management such as attendance monitoring and record keeping.

Qualifications and Profile

• Preferably some initial teaching experience.
• Completed higher education degree (Master's or Diploma) in music or related fields; ideally, a completed teaching degree (state examination).
• Career changers are welcome; internal training opportunities are available. Experience with teaching methodologies and didactics is advantageous.
• Passion for creatively working with adolescents and supporting their personal development.
