Scotiabank is hiring a motivated Home Financing Advisor to support mortgage growth across Hamilton and Brantford. This is a commission-based, mobile position suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, offering tailored mortgage guidance, and thriving in a performance-oriented environment. The role combines banking knowledge, client trust, and sales ability to help customers reach their home financing goals.
What you will do
- Create and maintain strong connections with clients, referral partners, and community contacts to generate mortgage leads and referrals.
- Use your banking background and communication skills to deliver mortgage advice aligned with each client’s financial objectives.
- Build credibility through clear, honest communication and a relationship-first approach throughout the mortgage journey.
- Focus on delivering a smooth, personalized client experience from application through closing.
- Work with internal partners, including underwriters, to support timely approvals and completions while meeting all regulatory obligations.
- Stay mobile so you can meet clients where it is most convenient for them.
- Keep current on market developments, mortgage products, and industry rules so your advice remains accurate and competitive.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of success in the mortgage sector or a closely related field.
- A strong focus on client trust, service quality, and relationship building.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- An entrepreneurial approach and comfort working in a commission-only sales environment.
