Role Overview

We are searching for a Molecular Biology Specialist to join a client on a contract basis, working remotely from any location. This role involves planning and performing molecular biology experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support research progress.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct molecular biology procedures such as PCR, cloning, and extraction of DNA/RNA.
Interpret experimental outcomes using bioinformatics tools and apply statistical approaches.
Record and communicate results to align with research goals.
Work jointly with scientists and engineers to incorporate molecular biology tasks within broader projects.
Enhance experimental protocols to boost efficiency and reproducibility within laboratory operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Expertise in PCR, gel electrophoresis, nucleic acid purification methods.
Preferably experienced in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
Solid understanding of molecular cloning techniques such as Gibson Assembly and restriction enzyme digestion.
Knowledge of bioinformatics software including BLAST, Primer-BLAST, and sequence alignment applications.
Capability to identify and resolve experimental challenges.
