MEX Compliance VP

Role overview

This position supports the bank’s leadership and internal teams by providing regulatory compliance guidance in Mexico. The role focuses on interpreting legal and regulatory changes, translating them into practical advice, and helping decision-makers act with timely and well-informed judgment.

Key responsibilities

The Compliance VP will monitor, analyze, and communicate updates to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and amendments that affect the institution. The role is also responsible for identifying compliance exposure across the bank’s activities, products, services, and business practices in order to reduce legal, operational, and reputational risk.

In addition, this position oversees the assessment, documentation, and follow-up of compliance risks, including matters related to AML/CTF (PLD/CFT). It also involves executing the entity’s annual compliance programs by coordinating with responsible teams, tracking progress, and maintaining documentary evidence of preventive, corrective, and monitoring actions.
