Job description

About the company

rag & bone began in New York in 2002 with a clear philosophy: do things with care, stay true to quality, and create work that feels both original and enduring. The brand draws from the elegance of British tailoring, the practicality of American workwear, and the energy of New York. Its culture values authenticity, community, and an inclusive workplace where people are encouraged to contribute ideas and help shape policies, processes, and collaboration.

Role overview

The team is looking for a Men’s Print & Graphic Designer to strengthen the men’s design group. The person in this role will help define the visual direction of men’s product through graphics, prints, and seasonal storytelling, adding character, relevance, and originality to the assortment.

This position calls for a designer who can think conceptually and also deliver precise, production-ready work. A strong grasp of how graphics and prints function across a refined, contemporary wardrobe is essential.

Creative development

  • Develop original graphics and prints for apparel and accessories across the men’s line.
  • Turn seasonal concepts and brand direction into clear, distinctive visual narratives.
  • Create graphics influenced by vintage references, artwork, and typography while staying true to the rag & bone look and feel.
  • Work with the Head of Men’s Design to continue refining the brand’s graphic identity.

Execution and product integration

  • Prepare artwork that is ready for production, including placement graphics, repeat prints, and color breakdowns.
  • Design with awareness of fabric behavior, wash effects, and garment construction.
  • Coordinate with technical design and production partners to protect quality and intent from concept through finished product.

Research and inspiration

  • Continuously study vintage references, art, music, culture, and archival materials.
  • Contribute ideas that feel genuine and considered rather than heavily trend-based.
  • Help build seasonal concept boards and creative presentation materials.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner with merchandising, marketing, and product development teams to keep the work aligned and commercially relevant.
  • Support storytelling requirements for campaign, e-commerce, and retail initiatives where needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of experience in men’s graphic or print design, ideally within menswear. A strong portfolio is required, showing taste, originality, and range across graphic and print work. The role also calls for a solid command of typography, layout, and print methods.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, is expected. Experience with overseas factories and production workflows is considered a plus. The candidate should be detail-oriented, comfortable handling several projects at once, and able to perform well in a fast-moving environment.

What the team is looking for

The company wants a designer with a distinct perspective and more than just executional ability. The right person should understand restraint, nuance, and modern masculinity, and be able to balance creative expression with commercial practicality. A passion for product, craft, and storytelling is important, along with a collaborative approach and the confidence to advance ideas.

Why join

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of men’s design at rag & bone, work in an entrepreneurial and highly creative setting, and have a visible impact on a growing business.
