The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is a worldwide trade association representing the entire wind energy supply chain. With over 1,500 member companies and organizations in more than 80 countries, GWEC collaborates with national associations and partners to promote wind power as a crucial solution to today’s energy and climate challenges. Headquartered in Lisbon and maintaining regional offices across Africa, Asia, India, Latin America, and MENA, GWEC unites the industry to influence policy and accelerate the adoption of wind energy globally.
About the Role
GWEC seeks a highly service-oriented Membership Service Officer for its Asia-Pacific (APAC) team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated, dynamic individual eager to develop a career within the global energy transition sector by providing exceptional member care and engagement. The officer will serve as the approachable first contact point for members throughout APAC, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and actively involved in GWEC’s programs regionally and globally. The ideal candidate will naturally anticipate members’ needs and prioritize excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for GWEC members in the APAC region, delivering timely, friendly responses to all inquiries.
- Build authentic and trustworthy relations with member companies to enhance satisfaction, retention, and engagement.
- Travel frequently across APAC to assist country managers with hosting member events and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with GWEC’s global team to keep APAC members connected to the worldwide network and resources.
- Manage new member onboarding, guiding them through GWEC’s offerings to ensure a positive initial experience.
- Maintain up-to-date membership records, monitoring engagement, renewals, and satisfaction metrics.
- Gather and relay member feedback, advocating member needs to senior leadership including the Head of Membership and Head of APAC.
- Facilitate smooth member experiences at GWEC and partner events, supporting logistics and on-site activities.

- Possesses a warm, approachable manner and natural skills in relationship-building and customer care.
- Brings enthusiasm and a proactive mindset, ready for rapid personal growth within a global organization.
- Exhibits strong organizational abilities, adept at managing multiple relationships and priorities simultaneously.
- Open to extensive travel within APAC; candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Singapore or Vietnam.
- Fluent in English, with additional regional languages considered an advantage.
- Believes strongly in the positive impact of wind energy in creating a cleaner, sustainable future.
- Prior experience in membership services, customer service, or event support is advantageous but not essential.
