Role Overview
The Membership Coordinator supports the Spa and Recreation team by managing all aspects of spa membership including sales, renewals, and member relations while ensuring smooth administrative operations. The role focuses on delivering an unparalleled luxury experience for spa members, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to revenue growth aligned with The Ritz-Carlton standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of memberships such as new enrollments, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations.
- Keep membership records accurate within organizational systems and process all related documentation.
- Monitor expiry dates and proactively approach members for renewals.
- Produce reports and statistical data for management review purposes.
- Act as the main liaison for spa members, cultivating strong relationships and promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Provide facility tours and clearly explain membership benefits and services to prospects and existing members.
- Assist in promoting memberships and wellness programs to prospective clients and contribute to achieving sales and retention goals.
- Support sales campaigns by collaborating with the Spa management team and identifying opportunities for upselling services.
- Work closely with Spa Reception, Recreation, Finance, and Sales departments to uphold membership procedures according to company policies.
- Assist in scheduling member activities and wellness events while safeguarding member confidentiality.
- Deliver services that comply with The Ritz-Carlton’s gold standard for customer engagement by personalizing member interactions and resolving challenges effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in hospitality, luxury spa, fitness or wellness centers, or membership sales roles.
- Experience with Marriott systems is advantageous.
- Strong skills in customer service, communications (verbal and written), and negotiation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional presentation and familiarity with spa, wellness, fitness, and recreation operations preferred.
