Food and Beverage Service Specialist (Captain) - Room Service

Position Overview

This role goes beyond simply serving meals; it is about crafting an unforgettable dining experience for guests with excellent food and beverage service. The Food and Beverage Service Specialist will take initiative to deliver various services ensuring guests enjoy their portions from start to finish. Duties involve setting up tables, coordinating with kitchen staff, engaging with and serving guests, as well as maintaining cleanliness of workstations and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

The position requires being on feet for prolonged periods, navigating uneven or slippery surfaces, managing menus through reading and visual checks, and physically handling items with weights up to 25 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance. Flexibility in movements such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping is essential to perform hands-on tasks effectively.

Work Environment and Standards

Success depends heavily on adherence to safety protocols, following company policies and procedures, upholding high quality service standards, and maintaining a professional appearance and communication style. The role is categorized as non-management and is located in Doha, Qatar, working onsite.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• No supervisory background is required.
• There are no certifications or licenses mandated.
