Position Summary
Join Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as a Member Onboarding and Retention Manager to design and lead the entire member experience journey, from initial onboarding through engagement to renewal, with the purpose of enhancing long-term member participation and connection within a global nursing community.
Role Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and refine onboarding and member activation strategies, ensuring they are cohesive and personalized to foster meaningful early engagement.
- Develop and execute retention initiatives and membership access programs in collaboration with internal teams and the Sigma Foundation to guarantee equitable opportunities.
- Use data analytics—such as retention, churn, engagement, and onboarding metrics—to identify bottlenecks and improve member systems, interactions, and communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Membership & Volunteer Engagement, IT, Marketing & Communications, Finance, and others to sync efforts for a consistent and reinforcing member journey.
- Oversee membership subsidy and access operations aligned with organizational priorities to facilitate inclusivity and accessibility.
- Continuously map and optimize member pathways from induction through ongoing engagement, addressing gaps in personalization and experience.
- Manage multiple projects by maintaining organization, prioritization, and effective communication with diverse stakeholder groups.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience in membership management, client or constituent engagement, program management, or similar fields.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing onboarding, engagement, retention, or member lifecycle programs focusing on experience-driven retention rather than transactional processes.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting member data and translating it into actionable improvements.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally across various platforms and teams.
- Experience working within organizations such as professional associations, nonprofits, or membership-based groups is highly valuable.
- Proficiency in administering membership or CRM platforms and familiarity with managing engagement at scale is a plus.
- A passion for driving member value, connection, belonging, and equitable access aligned with the mission of Sigma is essential.
