Role Overview
This full-time remote position is for a Member of Technical Staff focused on medical research and the evaluation of AI systems in healthcare. The role centers on building rigorous assessment methods, studying clinical reasoning, and improving the safety and quality of healthcare-oriented AI products.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this role is USD 350,000 to USD 500,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage evaluation frameworks for healthcare AI, including benchmarks and validation procedures.
- Carry out research on medical reasoning, evidence-based decisions, and clinical workflow behavior.
- Build benchmark datasets and testing environments that reflect realistic healthcare situations.
- Work alongside researchers and clinicians to assess and enhance AI tools used in healthcare.
- Review model performance, safety risks, and the quality of reasoning in medical scenarios.
- Prepare research summaries and practical guidance for evaluating healthcare AI systems.
Requirements
- An advanced qualification in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or a similar healthcare discipline is needed.
- Strong subject-matter knowledge of clinical practice, healthcare operations, or biomedical research is expected.
- Prior experience with medical, clinical, or healthcare research must be demonstrated.
- A solid grasp of research methodology and how healthcare decisions are made is required.
- Excellent analytical thinking and scientific writing or communication skills are important.
