Role Overview
As a Medical Writer, you will contribute scientific expertise across a broad mix of medical communications work. The position calls for someone who can produce polished, accurate content and adapt tone, structure, and depth to suit different client goals and audience types.
You will work closely with medical specialists, stay current with therapeutic areas, and keep up to date with publication standards, industry rules, and relevant internal or external processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality medical communication materials with strong scientific accuracy and sound grammar.
- Adjust content style and messaging to align with client objectives and the needs of varied audiences.
- Collaborate with medical experts and other stakeholders across projects.
- Track developments in therapeutic areas to support informed and current content development.
- Work in line with good publication practices and applicable industry guidelines.
Requirements
- A degree in life sciences, preferably supported by a Master’s or PhD in a scientific subject.
- About 1 year of experience in a medical communications agency in a writing-focused role.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry operations and related processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, plus strong organisation and time management skills.
- Comfort using standard software tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Excel.
